Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, iCare USA is renowned for its unique rebound tonometry technology, which has transformed the measurement of intraocular pressure (IOP) without necessitating anesthetic drops or puffs of air. This makes it particularly suitable for pediatric patients, sensitive adults, and even veterinary applications.
iCare USA’s key product lines include handheld tonometers such as the iCare IC100 and IC200, and the iCare HOME2, which empowers glaucoma patients to monitor their eye pressure from the comfort of their homes. Through rebound tonometry, these devices offer enhanced patient comfort and convenience. Beyond tonometry, iCare USA also excels in retinal imaging and perimetry. Their DRSplus and EIDON Family leverage TrueColor Confocal Technology to provide high-resolution, anatomically accurate retinal images. Meanwhile, the iCare COMPASS and MAIA devices cater to visual field testing and monitoring of conditions like age-related macular degeneration.
The company’s recent innovations are noteworthy too, such as their collaboration with Mediwhale to incorporate AI into their retinal imaging systems for systemic health monitoring. This partnership is poised to transform eye exams into comprehensive health assessments, potentially assessing cardiovascular disease risk through retinal scans. Furthermore, the FDA clearance of the enhanced iCare MAIA microperimeter in March 2025 underscores iCare USA’s commitment to advancing diagnostic capabilities.
